What the plan shows
A week with 321 scheduled hours costs about 5,856 with on-costs. With a forecast of 20,000 in sales that is a labour cost of 29.3%, inside a 30% target. The sheet also tells you the sales you would need if you wanted the plan to sit exactly on target.
Questions
Can it handle salaried staff?
Yes. Divide the weekly cost by the weekly hours to get an equivalent hourly rate, and enter that.
Does it follow my country's overtime rules?
You set the weekly hours threshold and the multiplier. Check the rule that applies where you work.
Is it a payroll tool?
No. It is for planning and checking. Payroll rules and taxes vary, so use your payroll software or accountant for pay.
